Ports & Docks

Ports and shipyards have considerations for trench drain design including extreme loads, such as straddle carriers, high flows and long runs.  ACO provides solutions for these common design requirements. ACO products and services can help sea ports and inter-modal transportation yards meet their specific drainage requirements and regulations

ACO products can be found in:

  • Ports
  • Docks
  • Shipyards
  • Inter Modal facilities

Heavy Traffic

When planning heavy-duty areas, the extraordinary loads on the surfaces must be given special consideration. Strong dynamic and lateral forces and hundreds of maneuvers every day require high quality and durable products. Monolithic channel bodies without adhesive joints are particularly suitable for heavy-duty surfaces.

Marine Environments

ACO polymer concrete has passed independent tests and is unaffected by road de-icing salts. This test (ASTM – B117 Salt Spray Test) is an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to predict a material’s suitability in use. The ACO test sample showed no sign of degradation after 1,000 hours of salt spray exposure.
